Five Year Anniversary

Jason and I celebrated our five-year wedding anniversary on October 15, and I love Jason more than ever. Of course we have had our ups and downs, but he is my best friend. I am so lucky to be his wife and partner in crime. I can't believe it has been five years already. I know everyone says that, but seriously — it is scary how fast it went by. Not to mention, everything we have done in five years: got a dog, bought a house, had a baby, sold a house, moved to a different state, and had another baby. I can only imagine what the next five years will bring!

We started celebrating on the 14th by going out to eat and seeing a movie. We saw The Town, I highly recommend it. We slept in on Friday morning and then headed to Chicago; our lovely friend Matt got us tickets to the Bulls game — nothing like $130 tickets for free! Then we headed to Matt's band's show. It was fun hanging out with friends, doing kid-free activities. Matt's wife, Kim, is 35 weeks pregnant and looks super cute. I loved rubbing her belly. It made me want to be pregnant again, which isn't ever going to happen, but those feeling were already back with a vengeance. We had to take off early on Saturday to get back to pick of the girls.

On Saturday night we took the girls to the Mallards home opener. Note to self: don't take a three month old to a hockey game, it is way too loud. I ended up walking around with Quinn for the first period while Jason and Marley enjoyed the game. Marley loved it! She was having the best time. Jason and I switched during the second period and then left before the third — Marley was pretty much over it by then.

On Sunday we went to the pumpkin patch. Marley played with the bunnies and fed the goats. We have been going to the same pumpkin patch for three years now and every year Marley has been scared to feed the animals by herself, but this year she was all about it, letting them eat directly out of her hand. She seemed so grown up. The pumpkins were pretty picked-over already, but we found a few. Marley picked out a baby pumpkin for Quinn (it is about the size of an apple). She is such a good big sister.

It was a busy, crazy weekend. I am hoping to get some deep cleaning done around the house this week.
